As part of the intercultural media art project "Entangled Futures", a collaboration between NTU ADM Singapore and Hochschule Ansbach, Nicole Klaus contributed to the 3D animated film "Finding Home", created with Minh Tu Nguyen. Their responsibilities included modeling and animating fish and jellyfish, as well as designing the 3D frame for Singapore’s first energy-efficient LED 3D billboard, Ten Square.
The project won Gold in the DCC YoungSTARS category at the DooH Creative Challenge (DCC) 2023. "Finding Home" was showcased on STRÖER digital billboards across Germany, emphasizing the impact of intercultural collaboration in raising awareness of ocean plastic pollution and sustainability.




Entangled Futures: Cross-Cultural Media Arts Exchange (2022) Event "Entangled Futures", project between NTU ADM, Singapore and Hochschule Ansbach, Germany, which is about climate change and sustainability. Me, Nicole Klaus and Minh Nguyen created an animation with the name "Finding Home", which addresses the continuous problem of overwhelming plastic in oceans. My part of the animation was modeling and animating the fish and jellyfish as well as modeling the 3D Frame of the first energy saving LED 3D Billboard in Singapore, Ten Square, where the animation was broadcasted in november 2022.

“Finding Home” addresses the continuous problem of overwhelming plastic in oceans which makes it difficult for sea animals to differentiate prey from equal conspecifics. In our example, Jellyfish can’t identify themselves because plastic bags look just like them. After the pollution is removed, they find their way home to a clean and healthy ocean which is filled with colorful fish again. Modeling, animating and texturing the fish, jellyfish and the 3D Frame of the building were tasks which were done by me.
